Boating and Fishing

With full access to swimming, boating, and fishing, Hultman lake has something to offer anyone.  The lake is approximately 181 acres in size with a maximum depth of 14 feet with the average depth of approximately 8 feet.  The lake is fed both by small streams and a couple large natural springs.

Fishing opportunities abound at Hultman Lake as well as other neighboring lakes located nearby. Northern, muskie, walleye, bass, and panfish are abundant throughout Wisconsin's summer fishing season.  Remember to bring your own bait, or if you forget, a bait shop is located about 10 minutes away.  In addition to camping, we offer rental canoes, kayaks, and row boats for everyone.

All Wisconsin fishing and boating laws are in affect on Hultman Lake and the lake is a "slow" lake with a maximum speed limit of 10 miles per hour.

Besides fishing, wildlife viewing is best along the lake shore.  Early in the morning you may catch a pair of resident sandhill cranes searching for their breakfast or watch bald eagles soaring across the afternoon sky.  Deer can also be seen on the shore sneaking down to the lake for a sip of the cool, refreshing water.

In either case, be sure to bring your camera for pictures of our woodland critters or that day's catch!
